I am a couple hours old in this one!

Welcome Amisha Shakuntala Goel!

Hi Everyone,

I want to announce the birth of our second daughter, Amisha Shakuntala Goel who was born on 3/19/2011 at 3:03 am at 6 lbs 2 oz and 19 inches long. Amisha means truthful, honest, without deceit. Her middle name is the name of Aditi's maternal grandmother who lives in Bangalore (also known as Avva to many of you).

Mom and baby are doing great and the big sister Ananya is already excited for her new playmate. We can't wait for everyone to meet Amisha and look forward to seeing you all soon.

A fun week

Ananya had a fun-filled week, especially since I'm at home and there's no baby distraction...yet! She goes to preschool twice a week and storytime at the library, and every day she makes at least one walking trip to the park nearby and plays in the backyard. But this week was even more fun because Dadi and Dadu joined us for dinner twice this week when we went out and she had so much fun showing them how she eats and talking nonstop to them!

Also this week, Udi Mausi and Sohum came over to play! They went swinging in the backyard, ate together, and Ananya showed Sohum how her iPod works...and then Sohum only wanted to play with her iPod, which was clearly not part of Ananya's master plan.





The next day, Eemo came over to play. As always, she spoils Ananya by bringing her favorite snacks and then she also brought Jello for the two of them to make together. Fun activity! Ananya did a lot of the mixing and loved eating the end product :)
