Nail polish

For two years, Ananya has been biting off her nails. For Christmas,
Adhara gave her some nailpolish and we told her that she needed to
grow her nails in order to wear nailpolish. Bribery works!!! All of a
sudden, Ananya's nails magically started growing and after 4 weeks,
she gets her reward and gets to wear nailpolish for her cousin
Vunshi's birthday party!

Fruit salad

As a special treat for being a great sleeper, Ananya made her first
fruit salad today! She was so excited, kept asking why she couldn't
put lettuce in this salad, and used blueberries, strawberries, apples,
and oranges to make this yummy treat.

Happy anniversary!

We were so happy to celebrate Dadi and Dadu's 38th anniversary, with
cake and candles and lots of singing to "the anniversary people" as
Ananya sang all all day

First trip to baskin Robbins

We took the girls to Baskin Robbins for the first time...and they were
thrilled (as was I!)!

Happy birthday Thatha

While we were in Santa Barbara, we missed out on Thatha's birthday, so
we finally celebrated last night at my parents' house with an
orange-glazed pound cake(made by "Chef Mama and sous chef Ananya")
persimmon bread, lots of singing and guitar playing, and amishoo
trying to empty out her favorite kitchen drawer!

Happy 2013

Ananya, using the mask she got from my parents (who celebrated NYE in
style at the SF Masquerade Ball), would like to wish you a very happy
new year!!!
