Mother's Day

Mother's Day this year was extra special for me because it was the first Mother's Day I was celebrating with both of my girls. This year, Ananya and Amisha made special cards for me with their hands traced on the front of each card, and everytime I asked Ananya to sing me a Mother's Day song, she insisted on singing "happy birthday" to Amisha instead! We celebrated by having brunch at my mom's house and I love our tradition of being able to spend this special day with my girls and my two moms.

Easter

We celebrated Easter this year by going to an Easter egg hunt at Connor and Chloe's house and by going to another egg hunt in the park after Ananya's swimming class! Both were very successful - Ananya had been practicing her egg-finding skills and put them to good use at these hunts :) She loved opening the eggs, seeing the yummy treats inside, and showing each and every egg to her baby sister.

First wedding

We had a wedding to attend and so while Avva was babysitting Ananya, Pooneet and I took Amisha to her first wedding! She was an angel, very well behaved, slept for most of the time, and Dadi took care of her all night long - allowing Pooneet and I to have a fun night out!

Amisha at 2 weeks old

We took photos of our family - and mainly Amisha - when Amisha was 8 days old. We had done the same thing when Ananya was 8 days old and wanted to make sure we did the same for Amisha. Thanks to our fantastic photographers, Brook and Alisha Todd, who took these great pictures of us and our girls!

1 month old!

It's Amisha's one month birthday! We celebrated by getting cupcakes,
taking pictures, and Ananya loudly singing "happy birthday to you" and
letting everyone in the grocery store know that it was her little
sister's birthday :)

So far this month, Amisha has been very calm, quiet baby who loves to
stretch and play on her playmat. She is already a better sleeper than
her older sister and even sleeps soundly while Ananya sings loudly in
her face and kisses her all over.

Here's hoping the next month brings more sleep at night!
